Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

This is the second book in the Throne of Glass series. I was hoping that as a second book it wouldn't fall into classic 'second book' traps. It didn't. I was so excited. With every book this series seems to get better and more developed with more twist and history and backstories.
I found this book to be just as good as the first one. I loved how certain characters and relationships developed. I loved that there was more magic in this book and that there were more diversity in the characters that we got to see.
This book also shows more of Celaena as an assassin. In the first book it is talked about a lot but you don't really get to see her in action in real situations. There was more of that in this book and I loved it.
I am loving how this story is developing. It will be interesting to see how things progress and how things turn out in the next book.
I am currently reading the Assassin's Blade which is a collection of the prequel novellas that accompany this series. I am hoping to enjoy this as much as the previous books.
